Chinese Guide（中文指南） If My Heart Had Wings (original japanese name, Kono Ōzora ni, Tsubasa o Hirogete) is a Japanese romance eroge visual novel developed by Pulltop. The game focuses on Minase Aoi who is returning to his hometown, after meeting his new and childhood friends he joins his school Gliding Club where the story takes off.

Now, as you may know, Moenovel has released a 'localisation' of the eroge that cut and censored all adult content from the game and did a bad translation. Thankfully, a Restoration Patch, originally made by rusanon and his translation team from Fuwanovel and currently maintained mainly by Pabloc and MeruP, restores all the adult content back and re-translates the game partially. In this guide we're applying this patch and the Sweet Love. Wʜᴀᴛ ɪs Sᴡᴇᴇᴛ Lᴏᴠᴇ UI Pᴀᴛᴄʜ? If My Heart Had Wings Sweet Love is an addon for the original PULLTOP version of the game released in 2012. Adds 4 extra scenes for Kotori, Ageha, Amane and Asa + Yoru at the end of their routes.

Sadly, this scenes aren't translated. Replaces the Moenovel UI with the original Pulltop UI, fixing some weird sprite issues. Increases CG pages from 8 to 12 and adds a Scene Replay option. Also, for people who may think that Sweet Love is optional, it is not. The Restoration Patch is not compatible with the Steam version, installing Sweet Love will replace the required files to make it work properly. Sɪᴅᴇ ɴᴏᴛᴇ: Any dates used on this guide are on the following format: DD/MM/YY.

Be aware that applying both the Restoration Patch will change the age rating to AO (+18 – but you may know that already). Installing both patches prevents Steam from interacting with the game, meaning you can't unlock achievements (you can still get trading card drops, take screenshots, etc.). If you want to get the achievements you'll first need to 100% complete the original Moenovel's visual novel. Please note that any save files you may have right now AREN'T GOING to work anymore after patching since they're not compatible, meaning any progress in the game you've made so far is going to be useless.

Uninstall If My Heart Had Wings (For previous Restoration Patch users) If you've previously applied the Restoration Patch and it is not working properly you'll need to uninstall If My Heart Had Wings completely and install it again. If you only want to install Sweet Love UI Patch and/or use NTLEA so you don't need Japanese System Locale you don't need to follow this step, but it's still recommended. Uninstall If My Heart Had Wings from Steam. Find your If My Heart Had Wings folder in Steam and delete it, the folder itself and all its contents inside. This can be commonly found in: 64 bits - C: Program Files (x86) Steam steamapps common If My Heart Had Wings 32 bits - C: Program Files Steam steamapps common If My Heart Had Wings Or any other location you have chosen to install the game. Don't forget to install it again and run it atleast one time to make sure all Microsoft libraries (like DirectX) are properly installed on your machine.

Change your System Locale to Japanese (Recommended) This step was crucial before so you could install both patches properly, but I realized later that this is actually not needed. However, if you do this at least one single time it will avoid you some possible issues later so I highly recommend it. This is only needed while installing the patches, you can change your system locale back to its original state after installing them. You are free to try and install the patches ignoring this step.

It can be a little trickier to get to this window on Windows 10 / 8.1 / 8, so I'm simplifying this for you. Press Win. +R to open the Run command and copy paste this ' Control international' without the quotes and press Enter.(key with the Windows logo). Go to Administrative Tab and change System Locale to Japan (This Requires System Restart). Sᴛᴇᴘ 4: Copy all files from Sweet Love and paste them into If My Heart Had Wings folder. Select all files and folders inside Sweet Love folder you created before. Copy and Paste them in If My Heart Had Wings folder.

When asked to replace, select yes to all. Nᴏᴛᴇ: Check if ' patched.txt' is present in your If My Heart Had Wings folder, if it isn't it means that something went wrong during patch application and that it isn't installed correctly. (This file is created when IMHHW Restoration Patch Enhanced finishes.) Done this, you successfully installed both patches to your If My Heart Had Wings. This step is required, unless you use Japanese Time Format.

Patch installed, however, to make the game work on any system locale, you'll now need to use NTLEA or Locale Emulator. I've created an executable file that runs NTLEA and emulates If My Heart Had Wings automatically for you, that way you can launch the game normally through Steam enabling you to get trading card drops and log your played time. Unfortunately, as mentioned above, it is not possible to get achievements.

Be aware that to make this work with Steam I named this executable AdvHD.exe (the same name as the original game executable that must be now renamed to AdvHD2.exe). IMHHW Fᴏʟᴅᴇʀ CʟᴇᴀɴᴇʀDuring patch installation some backups of the original non-patched files were made and there are also some Restoration Patch and Sweet Love installation files that were left behind and are unnecessary once the game is patched.

If you're sure that your game is patched and working use this batch I've coded, it cleans your If My Heart Had Wings folder, deleting those backup and unnecessary files from both Restoration Patch and Sweet Love. Everytime the game is ran through Steam AdvHD.exe is deleted. Set your date/clock format to Japanese. Check your antivirus as well, some antivirus delete AdvHD.exe. It has been reported that AdvHD.exe (the executable I've created) is recognized as a virus, of course it is a false positive. Please ignore it and make your antivirus allow this file in your machine.
